Diary

Keeping a diary of you and your pet’s day to day activity and food is a really useful way of tracking what you are both eating and how much exercise you are doing.

What is more, research has shown that people who keep track of what, when and why they eat and how active they are, are the ones who are most likely to lose weight and keep it off.

Writing everything down can take a bit of getting used to, but it really is worth it. Try to carry your diary around with you, so that you can fill it in there and then, as it’s often hard to remember everything that you have eaten at the end of the day.

Below is an example of how to fill in your food and activity diary. Simply copy it into a small notepad you can carry around with you or download it for you and your pet and start filling it in.

Not only will it help you become more aware of what you and your pet eat and do, but it will also be very helpful to your vet and your doctor should you visit them in the near future.
