The Pet Health Council is here to promote, inform and advise on the health and welfare of pet animals in the interests of both pets and people.
We have the latest news and research regarding pet issues, the benefits of pet ownership and a special section for healthcare or veterinary professionals with more detailed background information.
The Pet Health Council has launched its 'Petsercise' programme, complete with exercise booklet, to boost the health and fitness of dogs and their owners throughout the UK. If you keep one New Year's resolution this year, do Petsercise for a healthy and happy you and pup in 2007. (What's more, latest research reveals that dieting dog owners lose more weight compared to their non-pet owning peers!)
Please click on the Petsercise logo to find out more and to download the booklet.
You are what you eat – and the same goes for pets. Good nutrition is a key element to ensuring a happy, healthy pet. Owners must remember that they have a duty of care to provide their pet with a suitable diet. Please click here for more details.
